In the late 1950s residents within Hechunyuan (current Toa Payoh) came together to form Poh Teck Siang Tng (PTST). The organization was registered in 1961 and housed in an attap house at 108 Braddell Road. The original building under went re-construction from 1962-65 but was acquired in 1975. After multiple negotiation PTST agreed to relocate to a 30-years lease site in Hougang. 3 other temples, Hougang Twee Boey Teng Niang Temple, Chang Tien Kong Temple and Zhong Tou Gong Temple came together with PTST to build a united temple Tian De Temple. The new hall was opened officially in 1985. PTST is currently raising fund to extend the site’s lease.
Despite facing relocation challenges, PTST has continuously participated in various community services and donating to the less fortunate.
