Nam Hong Siang Theon

In 1958 a group of devotees set up Nam Hong Siang Theon (NHST) at Sembawang 13^th Milestone with josh ash from Nam Ann Siang Theon. Registered on 10 Nov. 1961, NHST started construction of its new premises at 41 Jalan Hikayat. Completed on 1968, the site was acquired by the government in 1980.

NHST was allocated a 30-years lease site at Yishun Ring Road and the shantang constructed an united temple in 1984 with Seng Pang Tua Pek Kong Keng and Ho Peck San Temple. Upon extending the site lease to year 2040, NHST embarked on the re-construction of its premises which completed in 2015.

In 2001 NHST set up a medical centre and in 2007 formed the Nam Hong Welfare Service Society as its philanthropy arm. The latter was registered with the Commissioner of Charity in 2009 and was awarded IPC status in 2010.
