Seu Teck Sean Tong Yiang Sin Sia

Seu Teck Sean Tong Yiang Sin Sia (STSTYSS) was set up in 1916 with joss ash from the Da Wu Xiu De Shan Tang in Chao'an, China by Chen Sishun, Wu Lisheng, Yang Yongchao and Chen Rongan. Initially located in a shophouse at River Valley Road, it relocated to the Tanglin vicinity, New Market Road and settled at 101 River Valley Road in 1926. Post-WWII it was located at 54 North Boat Quay where it remained before moving to its current location in Bedok in 1982.

STSTYSS expanded its outreach based on the “One Origin, One Main and Six Branches” principle with 2 branches and 4 branches in Singapore and Malaysia. Seu Teck Sean Tong Branch was set up in 1942 and renamed to Toa Payoh Seu Teck Sean Tong in 1967,  and Bukit Timah Seu Teck Sean Tong was set up in 1959. The branches in Malaysia were: Malacca (1950), Muar (1961), Pontian (1964) and Penang (1990).
